The Orbinuma
Privacy policy
This policy explains how Orbinuma uses personal information when you visit www.illuvisio.co.uk or write to us. It is written for the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). It was last updated on 16 October 2026.
Who we are
Orbinuma is a UK visual production studio. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Orbinuma is the controller of personal information described here. You can reach us at art@illuvision.co.uk.
Information we collect
This website does not ask you to create an account, and it does not use a contact form. If you email us, we receive the details you choose to send: your name, email address, the content of your message, and any files you attach.
Our hosting provider may keep basic server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of a request, so the site can be delivered and protected. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. This site is not directed at anyone under 18.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- To reply to an enquiry or a collaboration request. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To carry out a project if we agree to work together. The lawful basis is the contract, or steps you ask us to take before a contract.
- To keep records we are required to keep, for example for tax or a legal claim. The lawful basis is a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in defending a claim.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce a legal effect, or a similarly significant effect, on you. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed to run the studio: with the provider that hosts this website, and with the provider that handles our email. They process that information on our instructions.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we need to protect our rights, our clients, or other people.
Where information is stored
We are based in the United Kingdom. A provider may store or access information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on a UK adequacy regulation or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, including the Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, so that the transfer has a lawful safeguard.
How long we keep it
Emails about a general enquiry are kept only for as long as we need to answer you and deal with any follow-up, and are then deleted. If the message becomes a project, we keep the correspondence for the life of the work and for up to six years afterwards, which is the usual period in which a contractual claim can be brought in England and Wales. Server logs are kept for the shorter period set by the host, and only for security and operation.
Cookies
This website does not set analytics, advertising, or other optional cookies. We do not use a cookie banner because we do not place non-essential cookies on your device. A strictly necessary cookie would be used only if it were required for the site to function. You can also control cookies in your browser.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where the lawful basis is a contract, or consent, you can ask for a portable copy of information you provided. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That does not affect use that was lawful before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email art@illuvision.co.uk. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request. We will respond within one month, unless the law allows us longer.
How to complain
You can complain to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for personal information: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above.
